Mining Operations

Large OEM reduced mining downtime by predicting AGV thermal-event risk before failures stop operations

A top-tier OEM used our data logger on Automated Guided Vehicles across multiple West African facilities. The client operates 250+ AGVs, and some units were breaking down because of battery thermal events, creating significant downtime at their sites. We used CANedge3 data loggers with 4G SIM connectivity to send vehicle data to our central AWS server for processing, helping the team detect potential thermal-event risk earlier and take AGVs out of service for preemptive maintenance. Once connected, devices can be configured and updated over the air, while alerts and reports are generated when needed.
